We strive to be open to the complete spectrum of humanity in our social, educational, and worship experiences by welcoming all members and their families, regardless of faith background.

Recognizing that many families have some component of interfaith, we welcome mothers, fathers, grandparents, children, young adults, older adults, singles, couples, and people of all denominations and belief systems to our community. Temple Beth Shalom is active in the broader interfaith community of Austin, and is a member of Austin Interfaith and the Interfaith Hospitality Network

Are You Part of an Interfaith Family?

Let us know! Non-Jewish partners, spouses, and parents in interfaith families are welcome at Temple Beth Shalom, and can be involved in congregational life in ways that are comfortable for them. In addition to the resources below, we can connect you to other members of our congregation whose families have walked a similar path, and who can offer support, connection, and community-building through conversation.
