Temple Beth Shalom has a community forum on Facebook! Separate from the Temple's official Facebook Page, the forum is our temple's digital, interactive bulletin board specifically designed for member communication! All you need is a Facebook account. There you can easily share interests, upcoming events, ask questions (or answer them) and express opinions with everyone who is a member of the group.

While the group is limited to our members and is moderated by staff and volunteers, it is essentially an open forum among our temple family. We heavily encourage people to communicate freely! To guarantee the forum is warm and welcoming to all our members, we have a few forum guidelines that we ask our temple family to follow:

  • Participation in Temple Beth Shalom’s online forum discussions is limited to Temple Beth Shalom members and posts should focus on temple news and member/Jewish life.

  • We maintain a family-friendly atmosphere whenever possible, so vulgar language or inappropriate material will be removed.
  • Photography is not allowed in the sanctuary during worship hours without permission from temple leadership. Pictures from within the sanctuary during worship hours will be removed.

  • When posting a picture, make sure to have the permission of the person you photographed before posting. If someone posts a picture of you that you do not want on the forum, please directly contact the temple(This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), We will remove it promptly.

  • Respect is the name of the game! Please respect your fellow members and refrain from inflammatory and defamatory comments as well as flaming, taunting, and general disrespect. Temple Beth Shalom is made up of diverse congregants who have different opinions and different backgrounds. This is one of our strengths and we should honor that diversity with the way we use our words.

  • Opinions expressed on the online forums are those of the individual posters, not the temple or the Board of Trustees as a whole.

  • Please cite your sources if your contribution to the conversation includes the intellectual property (authored material) of others, e.g., photographs, pictures, books, newspaper, magazine, or journal articles—online or in print. Sources must be given proper attribution.

  • When linking to outside websites, please ensure that the content of the link is appropriate for our community, in line with the guidelines laid out here.

  • Please don't post advertisements for your business or commercial services.

  • If you have found a post that you feel is inappropriate or that violates the forum code of conduct, please use the flag function to notify administrators or contact the temple at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

  • Moderators and the administrators reserve the right to remove posts that do not align with the above policies or with Temple Beth Shalom’s mission and values. However, we are not perfect, and if you feel that we have made a mistake, please contact the temple directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. • Whenever you are participating in this community, please keep in mind that we strive to create a fun, friendly, and inviting atmosphere. So, please have fun and enjoy the forum!
